The Organic Electronics and Photonics group of Dr Jean Charles Ribierre started in 2023 at the School of Physics and Astronomy in St Andrews. Their research activities aim at the development of new cutting-edge organic electronic and photonic technologies that will greatly contribute to our critical efforts to reduce carbon emissions towards net zero and combat the effects of climate changes. Current research interests focus on:

– the physics and the development of the next generations of organic electroluminescent devices.

– the development of a new metamaterial platform for high performance organic electronic and energy-related technologies.

– the physics and the development of novel thermoelectric, conductive and superconductive organic materials and devices.
